Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026 · Applies to DriveTrain on both iOS and Android.

This Privacy Policy describes how the DriveTrain application ("the App") handles information when you use it on your iOS or Android device. By using the App you agree to this policy.

In short: DriveTrain has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address or location. Your study progress stays on your device. The App does send anonymous usage analytics, and it processes subscription purchases through the app stores. Both are described below.

Information We Do Not Collect

Usage Analytics

The App collects anonymous usage analytics so we can understand how it is used and improve it. These analytics include a device identifier generated for analytics purposes. They are not linked to your identity, and we cannot use them to work out who you are.

The events recorded are:

These analytics are processed by AppMetrica, an analytics service operated by Yandex. The App does not currently provide an in-app setting to turn analytics off. If you do not want this data to be sent, please do not use the App.

Purchases and Subscriptions

DriveTrain offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions. Purchases, restores, and entitlement checks are handled by RevenueCat working with Apple's App Store or Google Play Billing.

RevenueCat receives an anonymous customer identifier and your subscription status. It does not receive your Apple ID, your Google Account details, your name, or your payment details. Payment itself is processed entirely by Apple or Google — DriveTrain never sees or stores your card information.

Information Stored on Your Device

The following is stored only on your device, in a local database and local app preferences. There is no DriveTrain account and no server that holds your progress.

The question bank itself, including all images, is installed with the App and is not downloaded from a server.

Device Backup

On Android, the operating system's automatic backup feature is enabled for the App. If you have device backup switched on in your Android settings, your DriveTrain data may be included in the backup stored in your own Google Account. That backup is controlled by you and by Google, not by us.

On iPhone and iPad, the App does not exclude its data from the system backup, so your DriveTrain data may likewise be included in an iCloud or computer backup of your device. That backup is controlled by you and by Apple, not by us.

Device Permissions

The App requests only internet and network-state access, plus billing access for in-app purchases. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files, or notifications on either platform.

Third-Party Services

AppMetrica (Yandex)
Receives the anonymous usage analytics described above, including an analytics device identifier. Please review Yandex's privacy documentation for AppMetrica for details on how that data is handled.

RevenueCat
Manages subscriptions and validates purchase entitlements. Please review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple and Google
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google Play Billing. Apple and Google collect information related to app distribution, installation, and transactions under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). We do not receive personal information about you from either store.

Deleting Your Data

You can erase everything the App has stored on your device at any time through Settings → Reset App inside DriveTrain. This deletes all attempts, sessions, mock exam results and bookmarks, and clears your settings. It cannot be undone. Uninstalling the App also removes this data, and on Android you can clear it from Settings → Apps → DriveTrain → Storage.

Analytics events already sent cannot be traced back to you individually, because they are not linked to your identity. If you have a question about analytics data, contact us at the address below.

Email Communications

If you contact us directly by email, we may receive information such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with any third parties.

Your Rights (EEA / UK)

If you are based in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to be informed, the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, and rights related to automated decision-making.

Because the App collects no name, email address or other direct identifier, and analytics are not linked to your identity, we are usually unable to locate records relating to a specific person. Data held on your device can be erased by you at any time using Settings → Reset App. To ask about any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Links to Other Websites

The App may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy statements independently.

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose information if required or permitted by law, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or your safety.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
